Daily Operations

Are your phone lines in service?
Yes they are! Often, our staff may be occupied with a customer already, or are on the phone with another customer. However, we do our best to answer incoming calls!

Do I need to line up to pick up my order?
We try our best to serve our customers as quickly as possible. Sometimes we may have limited staff or experience a sudden rush, so we kindly ask customers to wait in line as many of our orders come from online purchases as well. We also try to adhere to COVID-19 protocols, so we greatly appreciate your patience :)  

Are you open on holidays?
We are open 365 days of the year at regular hours (unless specified otherwise!)

Do you offer a rewards program?
Yes we do! We have switched over from Square Loyalty to Smile Rewards Program as of March 29, 2021 to offer a more seamless way of collecting points from both in-store purchases as well as online transactions. Note: You must first register your email for a rewards account--simply click on the shopping bag icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, and proceed from there! Square loyalty points can still be redeemed in store until end of this year, 2021

Do you offer Gift Cards?
Yes we do! Please note: as we've changed website providers, your Squarespace gift card may not be active applicable during online check out anymore. These can still be redeemed in store, or you can fill out our contact form for further steps. 

Retail Products

How far in advance do I need to place an order?
Walk-ins are available everyday, but 1-2 days pre-order is highly recommended. Please call the store and check for availability on same-day orders

Are you open on holidays?
We are open 365 days of the year at regular hours (unless specified otherwise!)

Can you alter your recipes / adjust the sugar levels?
Unfortunately we are not able to adjust our recipes as we make everything in large batches. We cannot adjust our sugar levels, but all of our recipes are developed with low sugar in mind.

Are we able to customize Signature Cakes?
Simple customizations would not be a problem (e.g. switching macarons of equivalent value, adding macarons or Mahjong Tiles onto a cake, etc.). Additional costs may be required. Unfortunately we won't be able to change the colour of our signature cakes.

How do I customize my own desserts?

NOTE: As of January 31st, 2021, we will be ceasing our custom cake department, in order to expand our celebration cake line. We are very excited to share with you our unique collection of fondant cakes. Please be sure to keep checking our celebration cakes page for updates on new designs. We will be continuously adding new designs. We look forward to your next order!

Storing our products

How fresh are your cakes?

Our cakes are freshly prepared/decorated every morning.

How come sometimes your cakes are frozen? The majority of our cakes must first be frozen before removing them from their moulds / cake rings. They are then stored frozen to preserve their freshness and only pulled out to be defrosted when required.

What is the storage life of the cakes?
Our cakes are best eaten within 2-3 days of purchase, and stored in the fridge.

What is the storage life of the macarons?
Our macarons stay fresh and crisp for the following:
  • 1 day at room temperature

  • 2-3 days in the fridge

  • 1 week in the freezer

Please keep macarons in a sealed container to maintain optimal texture.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Do you offer any dairy-free products?

Currently, only the Matcha Crepe Cake can be made dairy-free (+$5 extra, 1 week advance order required). Our Something Vegan cookie is also dairy-free.

Do you offer egg-free products?

Unfortunately, all our cakes contain eggs. The only egg-free product we offer, is our Something Vegan cookie.

Do you offer gluten-free products?

Yes, all of our macarons and the Double Chocolate cookie are gluten-free. All of our cakes, and the rest of our cookies contain wheat flour (gluten).

Do you offer gelatin-free products?

Yes, we have macarons, Terra, Firma, all our cookies except Campfire (marshmallows), and the only cake that is gelatin-free is our Mont Blanc.

Are these products good for someone who is pregnant?
Best to consult a health practitioner. All our eggs are pasteurized, and cakes containing (limited amounts of) alcohol are: Tiramisu, Gold Thorn.

What are your Nut-Free options?

Most of our cakes are nut-free except: Diamond, Mont Blanc, and Peach Garden. The rest of our cakes can have the macaron decorations excluded or packed separately.

Can you make your cakes less sweet, or alter the recipe for various dietary restrictions?
Most of our cakes made with minimal added sugar (while maintaining flavour). Unfortunately, they are made in large batches and it would not possible to change the sweetness (or recipe) for any single cake. However, we can recommend a selection of cakes you may like, based on your preferences. Just send us an email or give us a call!

Delivery

Do you ship your products to other provinces or to the U.S.?

At the moment, we do not ship our products outside of the listed regions (see below). However, we hope to expand our reach in the near future.

Do you offer same-day delivery?
Yes we do! Please give us a call to confirm if we have your desired item(s) in stock and to inform us that you'd like a delivery. We can then provide you with next steps.

Do you offer scheduled delivery?
Yes we do! Just add your desired items to your cart and proceed to check-out as normal. Delivery fee will be based on your postal code. Some restrictions apply. 

Where do you offer delivery to?
We deliver to the GTA--if we do not deliver to your area, please contact us.
 

How do I change my pick-up order to delivery instead?
Please let us know so that we can help you cancel the current order while you place a new order with the delivery option chosen. 

What would happen if the recipient is not home?
Please ensure that the recipient is able to accept the package within the delivery window. If the driver is unable to reach the recipient, they will leave the package in front of the door (if accessible), and we are not responsible for products that are left unattended. If a driver needs to re-deliver, additional charges may apply. Please understand in some special circumstances such as snow storm, traffic accidents, etc., delay may occur on rare occasions.
